For many years, KLINGER has been a leader in fluid control for the South American market. This is a story that began at the beginning of the 1990s. 1970, when KLINGER launched its own production of sheets for sealing joints.

This early success caused the company to grow and expand in the following decades.. Consequently, the supply of these products increased and now also includes materials for joints, level sight glasses and piston valves.

In-house manufacturing was a big key to customer satisfaction back then, seen that local production guaranteed shorter delivery times, in addition to closer contact with end consumers.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_btn title=”KLINGER Brazil” style=”custom” custom_background=”#1068b4″ custom_text=”#ffffff” shape=”square” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-angle-double-right” add_icon=”true” css=”.vc_custom_1688418391367{margin-right: 30px !important;background-color: #1068b4 !important;}” link=”url:https://rklinger.com.br?lang=en|title:KLINGER Brazil||”][vc_btn title=”KLINGER Piston Globe Valves” style=”custom” custom_background=”#1068b4″ custom_text=”#ffffff” shape=”square” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-angle-double-right” add_icon=”true” css=”.vc_custom_1688418352726{background-color: #1068b4 !important;}” link=”url:https://rklinger.com.brprodutos/valvulas/pistao-kvn/|title:Válvulas Globo de Pistão KLINGER||”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

VALVES WITH TAILORED SOLUTIONS

Lito Gonella, a former client, needed materials to carry out a CO₂ purification and liquefaction plant project in Salta. Their many years of experience in the industry led them to contact KLINGER Argentina to obtain assistance with piston valves that would be used for insulated pipe installation with polyurethane foam.

Sales manager Cristian González jumped into action and discussed project needs with team experts via email and video calls. As the conversation evolved, the need for the project became very clear: a high level of sealing in the valves and great reliability would be required. The solution then was to develop a personalized solution.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”4934″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

“They required some special parts on the valve and then
I quickly realized that we would have to customize them.”

Cristian Gonzales, sales manager at KLINGER Argentina

CLOSE COLLABORATION TO MEET CUSTOMER NEEDS

With a preliminary plan in place, Cristian looked for Luciano Bussi, sales manager at KLINGER Brazil who, furthermore, He was also his longtime friend and professional colleague..

Over the years in the KLINGER Group, they have worked on a variety of gasket and valve projects, from standard solutions to customized solutions. “We are practically brothers!”, jokes Luciano.

Cristian and Luciano are two of the main leaders of KLINGER's South American presence, and are already used to counting on each other to accomplish brainstormings and devising solutions to problems, in order to meet urgent customer needs with local solutions.

After the pandemic, their collaborations became even more frequent and valuable. That's because customers in the region face difficulties with suppliers that are very far away and end up with less stock than necessary, in addition to facing very long delivery dates.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1688420757677{margin-bottom: 30px !important;background-color: #f7f7f7 !important;}”][vc_column_inner][ultimate_icon_list icon_size=”10″][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type=”custom”]FAQ (FAQ)[/ultimate_icon_list_item][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type="custom" icon_img="id^4948|url^https://projetoslayerup.com.br/klinger/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/icon-arrow-blue-double.png|caption^null|all^zero|title^icon-arrow-blue-double|description^null"]Which piston valves are suitable for CO2 purification and liquefaction plants?[/ultimate_icon_list_item][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type="custom" icon_img="id^4948|url^https://projetoslayerup.com.br/klinger/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/icon-arrow-blue-double.png|caption^null|all^zero|title^icon-arrow-blue-double|description^null"]ANSI Class KVN Piston Valve 300 with carbon steel body, PTFE sealing rings (NXT) and flashlight, melted, Stainless steel screws and nuts are suitable for CO₂ purification and liquefaction installations.[/ultimate_icon_list_item][/ultimate_icon_list][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

SURPRISINGLY SHORT RESPONSE TIME

As Cristian and Luciano have a lot of experience and previous contact, they streamlined their collaborative process to achieve maximum efficiency. The response time for a quote or specification is no more than ten days, for example. Furthermore, the delivery time for standard piston valves is thirty days and for the custom valves created for this project, the deadline was around sixty days.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”4944″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

“Cristian and I have very strong communication and we managed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR A CO₂ PURIFICATION AND LIQUEFACTION PLANT

For the custom piston valves required in this project, all the planning process was carried out virtually.

Cristian and Luciano worked in two different countries, in addition to several other KLINGER experts who evaluated the project from their respective locations. Furthermore, the client's headquarters and workplace were located in two different provinces of Argentina.

Another highlight was the short period during which the project was carried out and the various technical details, that required frequent checks: All of this took place via video conferences, in order to keep everyone involved updated.

After the valves have been selected, additional research was carried out to ensure the material could withstand the pressure and temperature required by the customer.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1688420757677{margin-bottom: 30px !important;background-color: #f7f7f7 !important;}”][vc_column_inner][ultimate_icon_list icon_size=”10″][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type=”custom”]Requirements for the KLINGER KVN piston valve[/ultimate_icon_list_item][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type="custom" icon_img="id^4948|url^https://projetoslayerup.com.br/klinger/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/icon-arrow-blue-double.png|caption^null|all^zero|title^icon-arrow-blue-double|description^null"]Fluent: liquid and gaseous carbon dioxide[/ultimate_icon_list_item][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type="custom" icon_img="id^4948|url^https://projetoslayerup.com.br/klinger/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/icon-arrow-blue-double.png|caption^null|all^zero|title^icon-arrow-blue-double|description^null"]Temperature: -30 °C / -22 °F[/ultimate_icon_list_item][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type="custom" icon_img="id^4948|url^https://projetoslayerup.com.br/klinger/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/icon-arrow-blue-double.png|caption^null|all^zero|title^icon-arrow-blue-double|description^null"]Pressão: 27 BarG (overpressure)[/ultimate_icon_list_item][/ultimate_icon_list][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

After multiple consultations with plant experts to review the mechanical and chemical demands of the plant, the team was able to confirm that the custom valves would meet the project requirements.

All Ø2” and Ø3” valves are for pipes insulated with polyurethane foam and will be installed at the outlet and inlet of liquefied CO₂ storage tanks.

CUSTOMIZED FLUID CONTROL SOLUTIONS

At the end of the project, the client went from ideation to execution in less than six months. Luciano and Cristian managed to deliver a custom-made valve, that not only met the requirements required, but it was also made available within the promised time frame. Their respective years of impeccable teamwork transformed the complicated process of developing custom fluid control solutions in smooth and stable operation.

Luciano is interested in the promising prospects of the future: “We have a lot of business with standardized products, and there is no problem with that, but when our customers have a special project, We will always be prepared and open to discuss and meet your needs.” Together, they are looking forward to the challenge.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1688420757677{margin-bottom: 30px !important;background-color: #f7f7f7 !important;}”][vc_column_inner][ultimate_icon_list icon_size=”10″][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type=”custom”]Did you know?[/ultimate_icon_list_item][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type="custom" icon_img="id^4948|url^https://projetoslayerup.com.br/klinger/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/icon-arrow-blue-double.png|caption^null|all^zero|title^icon-arrow-blue-double|description^null"]Salta is the capital and largest city of the Argentine province of the same name, with a population of 618.375, according to the most recent census;[/ultimate_icon_list_item][ultimate_icon_list_item icon_type="custom" icon_img="id^4948|url^https://projetoslayerup.com.br/klinger/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/icon-arrow-blue-double.png|caption^null|all^zero|title^icon-arrow-blue-double|description^null"]KLINGER piston valves are central elements in a variety of fluid control designs, being highly adaptable.
